A Short FAQ
Do I have to submit all four drafts to be considered for a placement?
Not at all, all submissions are eligible for a placement, although applying the notes is highly encouraged. It's also possible to skip levels. You may receive a response after your first submission that this is Yellow draft!
Do I need to submit drafts with blue, pink and yellow pages?
No, but you might put in the header blue, pink or yellow draft. That's industry standard.
What if I disagree with a note, and don't want to apply it, will I be disqualified?
No, we want to help you write the script that you want to write. Many of the notes will be written in the form of a suggestion.
How do I resubmit a draft?
You'll receive a coupon code with re-submission instructions, along with your feedback.
Who are your readers?
All of our readers have five plus years of industry experience, outside of providing coverage.
How long does the development process take?
Development timelines vary based on script length and how many stages (White, Blue, Pink, Yellow) you move through, but in general you should expect the full development process to take several weeks from first submission to final Yellow draft, with clear deadlines set for each stage so you can plan your writing time.
When is the notificaiton date for the previous season?
Oct. 31st. All feedback for the prior season is queded and drafts are still being accepted.
Submission Rules
1. Screenplays must be in English, formatted to industry standards and submitted as PDFs.

2. Scripts submitted to the competition must NOT have been previously optioned, purchased or produced at the time of entry.

3. Pre-Pro's competition decisions are final.

4. In the event of multiple writers, list all additional co-writers on the title page. Please NOTE: Pre-Pro divides awards equally among co-writers.

5. Submissions that are 120 pages or longer may see a delay in the return of their feedback.
